National History Day (NHD) is a research project / history analysis assignment (s) and competition. It encourages historical research on a topic of student's choice. Students will produce either an exhibit, documentary, website, performance or creative research-based paper on a thematic topic. Instead of a typical research paper, the project ends with a fun and creative way to express history!

The project usually ends with a regional competition at the end of February, beginning of March.
